By producing honey-dew, olive psyllid absorbs dust and prevents leaf respiration and photosynthesis.

Before using this compound, the owner of the farm used to spray the trees with Nano antiseptic compounds to combat olive psyllid.

The use of a Nano-disinfectant compound caused the psyllids to return after approximately one month.

The invented composition has several soluble and powdery parts, for this reason, its use causes that when the soluble part is removed, the powdery compounds remain.

During the investigation of antimicrobial effects, the mentioned compound was able to be active on the surface for 24 hours. Therefore, if bacteria sit on the surface during to 24 hours after using this compound, this combination will have its antimicrobial effect, again.

It is interesting to know that after spraying the mentioned compound on the specified olive trees, the psyllids did not return to those trees for at least two months.

The power of the mentioned combination in reducing at least 10 to the power of 7 bacterial logarithms was checked on several bacterial strains such as the following and it was effective:

  • Staphylococcus aureus
  • E. coli
  • Klebsiella

Effective on viral agents

They investigated the effects of this compound on the following viral agents, which were effective:

  • Gumboro disease
  • Foot-and-Mouth Disease
  • Avian influenza or bird flu

Other uses of disinfectant and antiseptic composition

A. Pistachio Psylla pest (THE COMMON PISTACHIO PSYLLA) is a very serious problem for gardeners and causes irreparable damage economically.

Pistachio farm owners spend a lot of money every year to combat pistachio Psylla.

The good news is that the R&D team of this compound used it experimentally in a part of a pistachio farm in Yazd province in Iran with good results.

B. In a cherry tomato production greenhouse, this compound was used, which was effective for the fungi that were problematic in the greenhouse.

C. With the help of this combination, researchers conducted studies on aquatic pathogens, which were effective.

D. The effect of the mentioned compound on fungal agents was also investigated, and it was effective.

Certainly, Iranian researchers will not stop processing and producing Hing-based products, and in the coming years, while strengthening the current production, we will see products with focused uses.
